Battle on two fronts: Fiji fights Covid-19 outbreak and floods

From Pacific Waves

Fiji will not reopen its border to anyone until the government says it can stop the largest surge of Covid-19 cases in the country since the start of the pandemic.

There are over 50 active cases of the virus in Fiji, with more than 30 in the community, four of them without an established source of transmission.

The government says it will not relax Covid-19 restrictions for any of the six containment zones across the main island of Viti Levu until it can get a clearer picture of the extent of the spread.

But as Christine Rovoi reports, the coronavirus is not the only thing the Fijians are having to deal with.
