In a first of its kind visit New Zealand's deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters visited the Federated States of Micronesia also called FSM.
The nation is made is up of four island states, separated by vast ocean.
New Zealand announced it would give about $4.5 million New Zealand dollars to go towards projects aimed at improving early childhood development outcomes in the North Pacific.
