A new report by World Vision reveals only five percent of global aid targets children, despite children making up close to half of aid-receiving populations.

It found seven percent focuses on general improvements that can also indirectly help children, while the remaining 88 percent goes into economic and other projects.

World Vision New Zealand's national director Grant Bayldon spoke with RNZ Pacific's Caleb Fotheringham.
