Kiribati continues to grapple with an uncontrolled population of stray dogs.

The Mayor of Tarawa, Baraniko Baaro was in New Zealand's Northland region earlier this month to consult Pest Control specialists on practices to reduce the stray dog population.

Mr Baaro told RNZ Pacific's Finau Fonua the number of stray dogs in Kiribati are increasing, a trend which is leading to more complaints of dog attacks.
