The Prime Minister of Fiji wants the Pacific Ocean to be a conflict-free peace zone as political tensions surge around the world.

Sitiveni Rabuka has suggested a proposal on a 'Pacific Peace Zone' to be discussed at the Pacific Islands Forum next month in Rarotonga.

He's also wanting to be seen as a leader that pursues peace for Fiji despite his controversial past of staging military coups.
