Fiji have managed to scrape through to the quarterfinals of the Rugby World Cup despite losing to an inspired Portugal team 24-23 in Toulouse on Monday.
It's an historic maiden-win for the Portugese who had the Flying Fijians on the back foot for most of the match in front of a sea of adoring fans decked out in red.
Fiji go through thanks to a bonus point earned by keeping the scoreline within seven points and progress at the expense of Australia who bow out in the pool stage for the first time ever.
RNZ Pacific senior journalist Iliesa Tora is in France, and he spoke to RNZ Pacific Editor Koroi Hawkins about the result as well as the final games for Samoa and Tonga in the tournament.
