Pacific nations struggling to retain trained nurses

Health authorities say Pacific nurses's skills are being wasted as they move to Australia and New Zealand to work in rest homes. 

Nurses trained in the Pacific Islands can't automatically work as fully-trained nurses in this country and Australia, so they are employed in the aged care sector.

Speakers at the Pasifika Medical Association conference in Rarotonga say that's a waste.
