Fiji has displaced Samoa as the 10th ranked rugby team in world rugby following their 33-19 victory over Manu Samoa at Apia Park on Saturday.
The win also gave Fiji a better lead at the top of the Pacific Nations Cup series.
In netball, Fiji and Tonga have both qualified for the Stage 2 of pool matches at the World Cup in Cape Town, South Africa after they finished in the top 3 after the first stage at the weekend.
