PNG may struggle to implement the government's ID card scheme

The Papua New Guinea Government announced earlier this month that it plans to make identification or ID cards mandatory for residents in major urban areas.

This move follows recent violence at Koki in Port Moresby.

The prime minister said every person living in those cities would have to carry one of these ID cards.

Don Wiseman spoke with our PNG correspondent Scott Waide about the suggestion.
