The Cooks Islands women's footballers have had a fairytale run in the Oceania Under-19 championships, reaching the semi-finals with two excellent wins.
Although their run came to an on Wednesday with a 5-0 defeat to reigning champions New Zealand, they had drawn with Tahiti, and beaten Solomon Islands 1-nil and Vanuatu 2-one in a dramatic quarter-final.
They now play Samoa in the third-place play-off this weekend (Saturday) in Suva.
