MMR vaccination rates decline in the Pacific

The World Health Organisation is determined to increase MMR vaccination rates in the Pacific region. Measles, mumps and rubella vaccination coverage has steadily declined since the outbreak of Covid-19 in the Pacific. The WHO's Pacific immunisation officer, Dr Shafiqul Hossain, says Covid restrictions has slowed the healthcare workforce across the region and is working to address the low MMR vaccination rates.
