Amnesty condemns Naidu contempt conviction

A high profile Fiji lawyer Richard Naidu, has been convicted of contempt of court by the Suva High Court. The conviction relates to a comment that Naidu made on Facebook, in which he pointed out a spelling a mistake in a court decision. Amnesty International has condemned the decision by the Suva High Court in Fiji as a violation of freedom of speech.
