Equity and sustainability biggest challenges for Pacific conservation

The Wildlife Conservation Society says equity and achieving long-term sustainability are the biggest environmental conservation challenges facing the Pacific.

The society is an international conservation body that works alongside several local NGOs in the region.

Its executive director, Dr Simon Cripps, attended the recent Our Oceans conference in Palau where he told RNZ Pacific's Moera Tuilaepa-Taylor he was optimistic about its outcomes.
