These days it seems much of the Pacific appears to be embracing crypto-currency with the likes of The Marshall Islands, Tonga and Tuvalu leading the charge.
But is the region well enough informed to get involved, or is there a need for specialist advice to individual nations.
In the most recent development an island in Vanuatu is said to be undergoing a name change with a digital company settling in to establish what has been called 'a crypto-currency paradise' there.
The prime minister of Vanuatu, Bob Loughman has endorsed the idea, but Pacific freelance journalist Dionisia Tabureguci told Don Wiseman little is known about how it will operate.
