Samoa's Chamber of Commerce chief executive, Lemauga Hobart Vaai, says while he supports the government's efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19, businesses are struggling under lockdown.

Lemauga says the government needs to adjust lockdown restrictions to allow people in the private sector to work so they can get paid.

He spoke with RNZ Pacific reporter Susana Suisuiki who began by asking what impacts the lockdown has had on businesses in Samoa.
