A senior Pacific academic is calling for more acknowledgement of the issues faced by the Pacific rainbow community in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Seuta'afili Dr Patrick Thomsen is the Principal Investigator for the Manalagi Project, New Zealand's first project dedicated to serving the health and wellbeing needs of the Pasifika LGBTQ+ community through research.
Seuta'afili Dr Thomsen spoke with RNZ Pacific reporter Susana Suisuiki about the project's recently launched survey which aims to help New Zealand policymakers better understand the unique challenges and experiences within the community.
