A development economist is calling on the Australian Government not to go through with a planned substantial cut to its foreign aid in the coming year.
The federal government has indicated that foreign aid will fall to $AU4.1 billion dollars in the 2022/23 year.
The Australian aid budget was beefed up this past year to cope with Covid-19 and the Australian National University's Professor Stephen Howes told Don Wiseman it would be a mistake to take those dollars away at this point of the epidemic.
