The Espiritu Santo Tourism Association says the Vanuatu Government's announcement that the island's borders "could be closed" for another year will force many - already struggling - tourism operators out of business.
Association chairperson Calvin Rhodes says the comments by the director-general at the Prime Minister Office Gregoire Nimbtik that the government does not have a plan to reopen the borders is disappointing.
