PNG govt prioritises health and education in 2022 Budget

The Papua New Guinea government has introduced the country's biggest ever Budget of $US6.125bn.

Revenue is estimated to climb to 4.5 billion dollars, leaving a deficit of 1.6 billion, which the government says is 5.4 percent of GDP.

Don Wiseman spoke with Stephen Howes, a professor of economics at the Australian National University, about Papua New Guinea's budget.
