A book that brings together inspirational Pacific proverbs was released on Monday.
'Mana of the Pacific-Wisdom from across Oceania,' was compiled by Massey University development studies senior lecturer, Apisalome Movono and professor of international development, Regina Scheyvens.
Dr Movono says the book shows Pacific people to be resilient, hard-working, caring, family-oriented, grounded in their culture, and strongly attuned to the natural and spiritual worlds.
He told Don Wiseman how it came about.
