Transparency International has surveyed thousands of people in the Pacific to find out more about the extent of corruption in the region.
The watchdog group included the Pacific in its Global Corruption Barometer for the first time.
It found concerning levels of bribery, sexual extortion, vote buying and worrying concerns about the relationship between big business and government.
Transparency's Pacific regional advisor, Mariam Mathew told Don Wiseman the firsthand accounts and data collected are invaluable.
