Window on 1.5 degree future closing - Kosi Latu

The head of the Pacific's main environmental protection organisation says with the disappointing outcomes from COP26 the window is fast closing on the aim to limit the increase in global average temperature to 1.5 degrees celsius above pre-industrial levels.

The goal was set at COP21 in Paris in 2015 in recognition that it would significantly reduce the risks and impacts of climate change.

However, the director general of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme, Kosi Latu, says in every COP since then the world's largest emitters have failed to align their policies with their promises and COP26 this year was no different.

Kia ora Kosi welcome on Pacific Waves so you have had a look at the outcome document from Glasgow what are your thoughts?
