NZ climate minister promises to amplify Pacific positions

From , 6:03 am on 3 November 2021

New Zealand's climate change minister says he has reassured Pacific countries who have not been able to make it to COP26 in Glasgow that New Zealand will do its best to amplify their positions in the negotiations.

Only four Pacific Islands leaders were able to make it to the global climate conference because of international travel restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

James Shaw said New Zealand had raised concerns with the UK government about the validity of COP26 if not enough countries were able to attend.

He joins me now, Bula Mr Shaw, first of all how is New Zealand supporting Pacific countries in Glasgow?
