Mental health concerns increasing in Fiji amid Covid-19

From , 6:02 am on 10 August 2021

People in Fiji are struggling to cope with their mental health amid the humanitarian crisis caused by the pandemic.

Many Fijian households face an uncertain future, with people out of work and unable to feed their families, and are relying on support from relatives in New Zealand.

There have been more than 300 covid-related deaths since April and there are more than 20 thousand active cases in isolation.

Eleisha Foon reports.

Oats, milk powder, rice and lentils were among the supplies Save the Children was distributing.
