Micronesian leaders boycott Pacific Islands Forum summit

The new chair of the Pacific Islands Forum and prime minister of Fiji Frank Bainimarama has apologised to Micronesian leaders and reiterated the need for unity in the regional body.

The virtual Pacific leaders' summit was held on Friday with the notable absence of all of the Micronesian leaders except for Lionel Aingimea of Nauru.
