Fiji community groups swamped with food requests

Community groups in Fiji are being swamped with requests for food and basic necessities from families struggling amid the country's worsening Covid-19 crisis.

July is shaping up to be the worst month on record for Fiji since the start of the pandemic thousands of people have been infected with hundreds more cases announced daily and an accelerating death toll.

In this first of a two part series we speak with our correspondent in Fiji Lice Movono about the growing army of community volunteers and everyday Fijians joining forces to help support families in need.
