Public frustration growing in Fiji amid spread of Covid-19

From , 6:03 am on 6 July 2021

Despite an alarming second wave of Covid-19 cases in Fiji, local medical authorities are insisting that the government's decision not to impose a full lock-down is in line with international practice and is based on humanitarian considerations.

Two more deaths and a record 431 cases were confirmed on Thursday.

There are now over 38-hundred (3896) positive people in isolation with 22 deaths from the April outbreak, alone.
