Canned tuna brands failing to address slavery in Pacific

Most major canned tuna brands and supermarkets are failing to address the enslavement and abuse of fishermen within their Pacific supply chains.

This is the main finding of a recent report by the Business and Human Rights Resource Centre after it surveyed dozens of companies representing over 80 of the world's largest canned tuna brands.

I spoke with the centre's senior researcher and report author, Amy Sinclair, about their findings beginning with the prevalence of Modern Slavery in the multi-billion dollar tuna industry.
