Solomon Islands prepares to roll out Covid-19 vaccines

Solomon Islands is preparing to start its Covid-19 vaccination with front line workers to be the first to get the jab.

Health authorities in Honiara on Friday received 24,000 doses of the Astra Zeneca vaccine the first shipment procured through the Global Covax facility.

The country has been approved for enough doses to vaccinate 20 percent of its population of under 700,000 people.
