Auckland Transport has launched a Pasifika strategy aimed at lifting up, empowering and growing their Pasifika workforce.
Auckland is the largest Polynesian city in the world and executives want that better reflected in the organisation.
Currently, two thirds of Pasifika employees work in customer experience and service delivery roles.
But as Sela Jane Hopgood reports they are underrepresented in other key functions such as risk and assurance, planning and investment and safety.
