A newly established Pasifika Trust is aiming to support the development of communities in the Far North of New Zealand.
The Te Hiku Pasifika Trust was created last August and its founders are looking to officially launch it next month alongside plans for a regional Pasifika Festival.
Based in Kaitāia, which has a population of 6,300 people, the Trust was built around developing a community that can come together and support each other as well as celebrate one another.
It is also looking to bring not only the Pasifika communities but other locals in Kaitāia and surrounding towns together.
