The announcement of a provisional West Papuan government has exposed divisions within the independence movement.
The chairman of the United Liberation Movement for West Papua, or ULMWP, UK-based Benny Wenda, made the announcement last week.
But as Johnny Blades reports, it came as a surprise even to some members of the movement who fear it will play into Indonesia's efforts to divide them.
