Watermelon growers in Tonga furious at missing NZ shipment

Tongan watermelon growers have missed the boat after their exports to New Zealand were provisionally resumed, and they are seeking answers.

New Zealand granted a provisional permit to Tongan farmers last week, lifting a two month ban due to live fruit fly that was found in a previous shipment.

However as Sela Jane Hopgood reports, the first shipment, since a pathway was re-established, was not sent.
