After several gruelling months, Guam has begun to curtail the rate of community transmission of covid-19.
The US territory, which is the site of a major American military base, has been one of the worst hit parts of the US and the Pacific region during the pandemic.
The total number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus is around 7000, with 112 deaths linked to Covid-19. Out of a population of 165-thousand, this is significant.
But the local government has been working to lower its Covid Area Risk Score, a way of measuring new cases, the effectiveness of testing and the rate of spread.
Guam's Governor Lou Leon Guerrero told Johnny Blades that the territory has started to make serious inroads into this score.
