Law enforcement in the Pacific has come under intense scrutiny following reports of police officers failing to uphold the law they swore to serve and protect.
The latest incident sees 21 police officers in Tonga sacked over criminal convictions and serious disciplinary breaches.
Also, in Samoa six officers have been suspended after an investigation into allegations of adultery and inter-agency relationships in the force.
And, figures from Fiji's Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions show 400 charges of serious violence were laid against police since 2015.
As Christine Rovoi reports, the escalating problems have led to a mistrust of police by the public.
