Pacifica in US continue to suffer badly from Covid

While Pacific Islanders make up just a very small proportion of the US mainland population, but continue to suffer much higher infection levels from Covid-19 than any other community.

An endocrinologist of Pacific Island descent working in the United States says an increase in Covid cases around the country is being reflected within the Pacific and native Hawaiian communities.

We last spoke with Los Angeles based Dr Raynald Samoa, the clinical advisor to the National Pacific Islander Covid-19 response team, back in early August.

He told Don Wiseman the situation remains grim for Pacific Islanders.
