The Bougainville President Ishmael Toroama wants the region's youth involved in growing the economy.
Mr Toroama is aiming to develop small to medium enterprises and hopes some of them will be running by the autonomous Papua New Guinea region's young people.
President Toroama is encouraging youth to use their innovative abilities to find meaningful solutions to problems at all levels of Bougainville society.
Skills training and small grants are going to be made available, as he explained to Don Wiseman.
