The leaders of five Micronesian countries are threatening to pull out of the Pacific Islands Forum if their nominee isn't chosen to lead the organisation.
The heads of Palau, Nauru, Kiribati, the Federated States of Micronesia and the Marshall Islands, met in Palau last week, and the threat is contained in the communique they all signed and released at the end.
The Micronesian leaders have long felt they've been considered secondary in Pacific bodies - and now they're pushing hard for their man, Gerald Zackios, to lead the Forum.
Palau president Tommy Remengesau said their voice needs to be heard.
