An unsuccessful Bougainville candidate reflects back

Theresa Jaintong won't be taking up a seat in the new Bougainville parliament but she is philosophical about it.

The veteran NGO leader in Arawa, who is also a chief and chair of two landowning groups, was trying for parliament for the third time, this time in the central women's seat.

But she was the second candidate of the ten to be eliminated through preference votes in a seat won by Yolande Geraldine Paul.

Don Wiseman asked Theresa Jaintong if she enjoyed the experience.
