Pacific climate warriors become champions for voting

From , 6:01 am on 17 September 2020

Pacific climate warriors have turned into champions of electoral voting, to encourage more Pasifika to get to the polls this election.

They're running campaigns out of Auckland and Wellington called Pacific Votes Count.

It's about informing Pacific communities about enrolment, how to vote and the importance of voting.

In 2017 turnout was low in areas with large Pacific communities - a good example being South Auckland.
