Pasifika redefine notion of unpaid work

Pacific People do the bulk of unpaid work and volunteering in New Zealand, but are they getting the credit they deserve?

A treasury report found Pasifika do up to 30 hours of unpaid work per week, but research suggests that figure is much lower than what happens in reality because for many Pasifika, serving their communities is a natural calling and not something they would list on official documents. 

Teresa Cowie has been looking at what unpaid work means to Pasifika families.
