A funding boost of around $US1 million has been made to grow primary mental health and addiction services for Pacific peopless in Auckland, Hamilton and Canterbury.
The Fono in Auckland, K'aute Pasifika in Hamilton and Etu Pasifika in Christchurch are the targeted areas.
Associate Health Minister Jenny Salesa made the announcement this month saying it's about developing existing services that are working well.
She says working with established providers means that services can be expanded rapidly, and that people can have confidence that services will be there when they need them.
