Tonga looks at chicken farming on a grand scale

With Covid-19 having knocked out Tonga's tourism industry for the time being, the kingdom's government is looking at practical alternatives to keep the economy active.

One of them is chicken farming.

It has been proposed the country look to raise six million chickens for multiple uses, but with an emphasis on using their excrement as a source of biofuel.

Our correspondent, Kalafi Moala told Don Wiseman that the idea has great promise.
