Many Pacific islanders have been stranded abroad for months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Various regional countries have been doing what they can to repatriate their citizens in recent weeks, subject to limited flights and border restrictions.
On that front a large repatriation of Solomon Islanders stranded overseas is now underway.
In its weekly update on national radio the government's Covid-19 taskforce said almost 300 people are expected to be repatriated over the next two weeks.
