A policy brief put before Australian politicians is calling for a new approach to Pacific trade as part of the country's 'Pacific Step-up.'
The brief, from the Griffith Asia Institute, was part of a presentation to the Joint Standing Committee on Defence, Foreign Affairs and Trade inquiry, which was looking at improving Pacific trade.
Researcher Dr Wesley Morgan spoke to Don Wiseman about how some of the trade limitations facing Pacific nations could be overcome.
