The largest art gallery in New Zealand has appointed its first Pacific Art Curator, the Tongan artist Ane Tonga.
Auckland Art Gallery says Ms Tonga's appointment reflects its commitment to art from the region.
Ms Tonga told Sela Jane Hopgood that she hopes to shape a new direction for Pacific art.
