The European Union's ambassador to the Pacific says he wants to strengthen ties on issues like supporting multilateralism and the fight against climate change.
The EU is one of the region's largest donors, and the 27-country group has announced it'll be increasing its aid budget significantly over the next seven years.
But the Suva-based ambassador, Sujiro Seam, who has been in the job since September, says it's too soon to say whether this region will benefit from that increase.
Mr Seam was in New Zealand last week, where Jamie Tahana asked him how he wants to shape EU-Pacific relations.
