The new Dean Pacific at New Zealand's Massey University has set his sights on improving the participation of Pacific students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics or STEM subjects.
Palatasa Havea, a former Fonterra Research Scientist, will also lead the university's new Office of Pasifika Student Success.
Professor Havea says he has always been interested in improving the educational performance of Pacific students in New Zealand.
