Samoa's measles epidemic: Red Cross assists with vaccination drive

A New Zealand Red Cross nurse, based in Apia for the past fortnight, says it will take at least two weeks for the impact of the recent mass vaccination effort to have a significant impact in turning the tide of daily deaths from the epidemic.

Karen Page spoke to Jenny Meyer about the clinical response to the outbreak which has killed 70 people, 61 of them children aged four and under, over the past eight weeks.
