From , 5:02 am on 27 November 2019

For the first time, a session on the Pacific will feature at the UN Forum on Business and Human Rights.

Representatives from civil society and some Pacific governments will gather in Geneva on Thursday to discuss human rights challenges in the region with a focus on the climate crisis and the mining industry.

The Business and Human Rights Resource Centre, an international NGO, has been working closely with session participants.

Its Pacific researcher, Amy Sinclair, told Ben Robinson Drawbridge corporate human rights abuse in the Pacific often flies under the radar.
